$750.00

Restylane Contour® is a dermal filler injected under the (facial) skin. Once in place, it helps restore the volume of your midface. Restylane Contour may also be used to increase the fullness of your cheeks.

Restylane Contour is made out of hyaluronic acid (HA) - a naturally occurring sugar, found in the body that gives the skin moisture, volume, and elasticity – and a small amount of lidocaine, which is a commonly used local anesthetic to numb the skin. Restylane Contour is crosslinked with BDDE, an ingredient that helps form a network of HA, to provide a gel filler that lasts longer at the treatment site.

FAQs

How is Restylane Contour used?
Restylane Contour is injected with a small needle or cannula under your facial skin.

What Is Restylane?
Restylane is used to add volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as the lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds). Restylane is also indicated for lip augmentation.

How does Restylane Work?
Restylane works immediately by adding volume to smooth away wrinkles. A clear gel formulation of hyaluronic acid, Restylane is specifically formulated to act like your body's own hyaluronic acid. So, you can use Restylane to visibly reduce moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds and to add fullness to your lips.

What are dermal fillers? What is hyaluronic acid?
Dermal fillers are facial injection treatments used to help diminish wrinkles while restoring volume and fullness in the face. There are several types of dermal fillers, one being hyaluronic acid. All Restylane products are transparent hyaluronic acids, which are sugars naturally found in the skin that help provide hydration, fullness, and elasticity.

What causes facial wrinkles?
Wrinkles are part of life — our skin changes as we age. It becomes thinner, loses fat, and no longer looks as plump and smooth as it once did. Facial aging actually begins in your 20s, when skin firmness begins to decrease as a result of both internal (genetics and natural aging) and external (sun exposure, smoking, pollution, sleeping positions, etc.) factors.

How long do Restylane treatments last?
With full treatment, you can see lasting results for up to 18 months with Restylane;4* up to 12 months in the cheeks.

How long does it take Restylane treatments to work?
Depending on your volume needs, most Restylane treatment appointments last less than an hour and begin to work almost immediately by adding volume to smooth away wrinkles. A clear gel formulation of hyaluronic acid, Restylane products act like your body's own hyaluronic acid (and eventually break down naturally). Each Restylane product is designed for a specific purpose.

What are the side effects of Restylane products?
After your treatment, you may experience side effects, such as swelling, redness, pain, bruising, headache and itching at the injection site, and tenderness. These are typically mild in severity and normally last less than 7 days in nasolabial folds and less than 14-18 days in lips. Patients should be limited to 6.0 mL per treatment of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds. Swelling may be more likely in patients under 36 years, and bruising may be more likely in patients over 35 years.

How many treatments of Restylane products are needed?
Initial Restylane treatments are usually complete in one or two sessions, as needed. Depending on your individual body chemistry, you will work with your specialist to determine a maintenance schedule. Talk to your physician or healthcare professional about your individual needs.

Who should not use Restylane products?
The Restylane family of products should not be used by people who:
• Are pregnant, breastfeeding, or under 18 years for nasolabial folds and under 22 years for lips.
• Have recently used drugs that thin the blood or prevent clotting.
• Have had previous bad allergies, particularly to microorganisms known as gram-positive bacteria.
• Have serious allergies to drugs that have previously required in-hospital treatment.
• Have bleeding disorders.

As you age, your facial skin begins to lose its elasticity and volume. As a result, the face droops and shifts
downwards and your facial features may become hollow. Restylane Contour injectable gel is designed to temporarily restore volume to the midface and to add fullness to the cheeks in patients over the age of 21.
